Formed in 2015 as a Charitable Trust, the Vogelmorn Community Group (VCG) is a group of passionate locals from the Brooklyn-Vogeltown-Mornington-Kingston suburbs of Wellington, keen to generate activity and community spirit in shared spaces and land.
VCG have been managing the former Bowling Club rooms in partnership with anchor tenant Barbarian Productions since late 2014 and as of September 2016 we took formal process of the building. Since September 2019 VCG has run the Council-owned Vogelmorn Hall on Vennell St.
The trustees as of October 2019 are: David Bagnall, Phil Clatworthy, Natalie Crane, Sam Donald, Ruth Fischer-Smith, Sophie Jerram, Thomas Lahood, Jeremy Macey and Simon McLellan.
We also made this video that helped us win the first Rotary Akina Social Enterprise award in 2015 to upgrade the kitchen.
